ugly
It is official. Chemo has ruined what looks i ever had. For some reason, in the past week, i've gotten wrinkles on my face. I'm not talkin cute little tiny, barely visible crows feet or laugh lines, i'm talking long, deep, morose, crinkled freakin WRINKLES. I now look even older than my age, which is considerable. I can't even be funny about this. This really hurts.

Hey Abigail, I keep bumping into you in the cancer blogospere and just wanted to give you a "hang in there." I hate that bc treatment takes away our feminine mystique. We have no hair to playfully toss over our shoulders, no eyelashes to bat, no eye brows to shape seductively, and then the darn wrinkles set in. All this and you and you lose your brest too. What a bargain. Treatment might even shut down your remaining womanly parts. It is hell.
At least be comforted in knowing that once you stop chemo and your cellular rejuvenation begins, the wrinkles will lessen. A good facial, a peel or two, and stock in a good moisturizer will make your skin feel brand new.
Glad you made it the Komen event adnd glad you gave the cameras a real answer. Not all of our moments are Melissa Ethridge comeback moments. We don't always raise our hands victoriously and belt out a song. People need to know the whole story about bc!
But when we do have one of those moments, boy or boy is is sweet. Here's hoping you have one of those moments today.

Hey there. Since we're virtual buds and I've never seen you (maybe we are the same person, hmmm, have you been losing chunks of time?) I can't comment on your face. I do know you're hilarious and insightful and have made my day more than once. That seems like beauty to me.
